Reaching professional skills with the Final Master Thesis: Collaboration towards actual solutions

[EN] In order to motivate the student through a professional experience, and to improve the teaching-learning process by letting the student gain experience, we implement a collaborative learning-through-service methodology. This method increases the student involvement level and the deep understanding of the tools. As a matter of example, we present the implementation of this method in the Final Master Thesis (FMTh) of the Master on Corporate Finance at the University of Valencia (UV). Challenging behaviour in school – special education teachers’ perceptions

This article explores the challenges that special education teachers encounter during their daily work in Finnish schools. The main focus is in those challenges which cause worry among teachers, especially aggressive behavior in class rooms and school area. This article scrutinizes the reasons and consequences of a problem from the perspective of special education teachers. Abstract Background The aim of this study was to assess nurses’ self-reported confidence in their professional skills before and after an extensive Emergency Department (ED) reform in Kanta-Häme Central Hospital. Methods Emergency nurses participated in transitional training commencing two years before the establishment of the new organization in 2007. Training was followed by weekly practical educational sessions in the new ED.
